Jan 6, 2026

January 14th | 9:15-9:45 AM

Join us on Wednesday January 14th at 9:15 AM for our Wednesday Webinar presentation with Garrett Tyler-Parker, Director of Analysis and Insights, from Tourism Research Australia. Three growing tourism trends are reshaping how visitors connect with and experience destinations: accessible and inclusive travel, agritourism, and cycle tourism. Garrett will share actionable insights from TRA’s latest reports, revealing why these trends matter and how they can influence travel and destinations worldwide. You’ll also discover LIVE, the Longitudinal Indicators for the Visitor Economy, TRA’s publicly available, innovative insights platform that integrates multiple data sources under a triple-bottom-line approach. We’ll explore visitor-to-resident density, a LIVE mobility data metric that’s transforming how communities and tourism coexist. Expect a look into Australia’s data-driven strategy and insights, practical takeaways, and a fresh perspective for what’s next in tourism.

  • Explore the rise of cycle tourism: See how the different types of cycling activities can help tourism in your area, by seeing what is happening in Australia.
  • See how we bring it all together: An introduction to TRA’s LIVE framework, available to the public on TRA's website, incorporating several different data sources and building toward a single metric to measure tourism, discover how metrics like these can guide sustainable growth and community balance in New York.
