NYSTIA's Nominating Committee is seeking candidates...

...for open seats on the Board of Directors. NYSTIA's bylaws dictate that the board is made up of 51% TPAs and that there is regional balance with no region representing more than 25% of the board.
The committee expects to have 3-4 openings of which the majority will need to be TPA's. We are definitely seeking applications for candidates to represent the Thousand Island and Capital/Saratoga regions. Expectations of board members include the following:

1. Be prepared for, attend and actively participate in a majority of the board meetings (minimum of four annually).
2. Contribute to at least one committee – actively participate in its planning and deliverables.
3. Be willing to grow within the board structure, advocate for the organization and assume leadership positions.
4. Follow the board norms regarding majority decisions of the board and adopted meeting practices.
