Job Description/Responsibilities

The Financial Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization. He/she will monitor cash flow and oversee the overall financial health of the organization. The FM will create strategic plans to commensurate with the organization's mission. This position will also be responsible for Human Resources and compliance needs according to New York State.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute the company's financial strategy.
  • Develop plans to maintain revenue and manage growth.
  • Identify investment opportunities.
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to develop financial plans.
  • Manage accounting procedures.
  • Analyze data and create models based on the analysis.
  • Recruitment strategies, implementing systems to manage staff benefits, payroll, and behavior, and onboarding new employees.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews with the CEO.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or accounting.
  • At least five years or more of experience in fiscal management of another not-for-profit organization or financial occupation, such as a Financial Analyst or Accountant.
