Two Gold Winner Awards for Dutchess Tourism

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY --Dutchess Tourism, Inc., of Poughkeepsie, and BBG&G Advertising and PR of Campbell Hall, have been recognized with two Gold Awards, a Service Industry Advertising (SIA) Award and a Hermes Creative Award.

The SIA Gold Award is for Special Video Production for Dutchess County Live Video: The Culinary Institute of America/The CIA in Hyde Park. This informative video takes visitors on a campus tour of the world's most famous cooking school. It allows the host to answer questions in real time, and shows visitors what it's like to take a class or be served in a one of their student-staffed restaurants. The goal is to attract visitors who may not yet have our destination on their radar. Thus is the first in a series of Dutchess Live Facebook videos, which can all be seen on the @dutchesstourism Facebook page.

The Hermes Creative Gold Award is for Special Video Production of the first virtual reality (VR) video to be released by any tourism agency in the Hudson Valley. View the Hudson River and surrounding mountains from the open air cockpit of a bi-plane without leaving the comfort of your couch. This video puts Dutchess in the forefront of potential visitors' minds, and will attract more millennial and international tourists. SIA Awards are the only advertising awards to specifically recognize the advertising achievements in the service industry. The Hermes Creative Awards recognizes creative excellence in traditional and emerging media.
