New Member Introduction: Maureen Gittelman from Dutchess Community College

Maureen Gittelman is the Instructor & Program Chair of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Dutchess Community College. In addition to teaching marketing, management, and hospitality courses, Maureen also oversees the curriculum and administration of DCC's Hospitality & Tourism Management degree program.

Designed to equip students with the skills needed to stay ahead in the region's dynamic and fast-paced hospitality and tourism industry, Dutchess Community College's new Hospitality and Tourism degree is rooted in a strong business perspective. The curriculum is packed with career-relevant coursework and hands-on learning and internship opportunities, providing graduates with the resources and knowledge to move into supervisory and mid-management positions in lodging, food service, tourism, and hospitality. Maureen is also the Secretary of the North East North American Federation (NENA) of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (ICHRIE), and in her free time, she loves to enjoy "the beauty and bounty of the Hudson Valley and of course, travel!"
