Consultant to Conduct Condition Evaluation and Long-term Plan for Recreational Users' Amenities along the Erie Canal

The Erie Canalway Heritage Fund, Inc., the not-for-profit partner of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission, and the New York State Canal are seeking written proposals from a qualified consultant to conduct a condition evaluation and needs assessment of amenities for recreational users of land and water trails along the NYS Canal System. The consultant will also develop recommendations and priorities for long-term planning for amenities improvements at various locations.

(“Erie Canalway”), the New York State Canal Corporation, Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, and Visit Buffalo Niagara (collectively the “Hosts”) seek creative proposals from a full-service marketing and public relations consultant to assist in the promotion and attendance building for the World Canals Conference (“WCC 2025”) to be held September 21-25, 2025 in Buffalo and the Western New York (“WNY”) region.

The Erie Canalway Heritage Fund, the nonprofit partner of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, is seeking an exceptionally talented individual to coordinate and administer a comprehensive culture of philanthropy to meet a wide variety of development and fundraising needs. The selected individual will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and play the lead staff role in planning, coordinating, and implementing development and fundraising activities.
