Your Tourism Champions booth was on display at the Canal Society of New York State Winter Symposium & Annual Meeting. We previewed the Tourism Champions booth that will be on display at the Old Erie Canal Heritage Park at Port Byron on the New York State Thruway later in 2025. Attendees showed a great deal of interest in both the tourism literature and the backdrop map of New York State featuring the canals.
The symposium had some great sessions. We learned about the canal's history, how the lock and dams work, and how the NYS Canal Corp is making the NYS Canals infrastructure more resilient. They discussed plans for the Lois McClure boat to be on display at the Old Erie Canal Heritage Park, and we heard updates on the World Canal Conference, the New York State Canals Bicentennial Celebration, and plans for the replica Seneca Chief 2025 Bicentennial Voyage from Buffalo to New York City.
It is a valuable learning experience to meet travel intenders, answer their questions about New York State destinations, and share possible itinerary ideas. With this in mind, we are inviting NYSTIA members to join us in the Tourism Champions Booth at travel shows throughout the year. We generally have at least two exhibitor passes available per day per show. Join us for a day or for the full event!
Use this form to let us know if you would like to join us at one of the upcoming travel shows and/or use this link to join us at The New York State Fair in August
