Prompt Pack Your Day - AI Academy Webinar Recap

Nov 3, 2026

For this week's AI Academy Wednesday Webinar, we were joined by Colleen Senglaub from Travel Alliance Partnership for a comprehensive lesson on how to effectively use prompts, practical ways to make AI more useful—and your content more authentic.

Take a look at the main topics below, or rewatch the recording (coming soon!) for the full discussion.

Clearer Prompts

  • Use the 6-part prompt framework guide to help create an effective and accurate prompt:
    • Set the scene: Role & organization
    • What: Task, goal, and desired output
    • Who: Audience and visitor needs
    • Details: Relevant facts and constraints
    • Instructions: Voice, format, length, and gaps
    • Resources: Approved sources and example

Useful Background

  • Provide source materials like a brand guide, fact sheet or past copy as an example.
  • Have clear instructions outlined for who the audience is and what the tone and format should be. Provide approved samples to help the AI write in your voice. Include wording to avoid or to use specifically.
  • Clearly state what the assignment is to make sure it is clear to the AI what you would like the output to be.

Repeatable Workflows

  • Blog workflow: outline, draft, refine.
  • Itinerary workflow: outline what makes sense, write the itinerary and have it flag unconfirmed details for review.
  • Specific feedback gets specific edits. Be very specific to help shape the voice and language used by the AI.
  • This can help develop your prompts into various content pieces: newsletters, Facebook, Instagram, video scripts, FAQs and toolkits.

Review and Reuse

  • Save what works in a shared space for your team. This ensures the voice and quality is consistent. No one has to rebuild the same prompts and guides.
  • Keep it trusted. Name an owner and set a last reviewed date to keep information up to date. Mark what is approved and who has access.
  • Plug-ins, skills, and agents can be used overtime to help streamline these workflows.

Key Takeaways

  • A simple framework for giving AI clearer instructions and relevant background.
  • Step-by-step workflows and prompt examples for blogs, itineraries, and content repurposing.
  • Tips for making responses more specific to your destination and consistent with your voice.
  • Guidance on checking accuracy, reviewing content, and protecting sensitive information.
  • Ideas for recognizing where AI can help save time and where human judgment matters most.
  • Take-home resources, including sample prompts, a prompt framework, and a checklist for reviewing AI responses.

Thank you again to Colleen Senglaub for presenting, as well as everyone who attended! Next week, join us at 10:00 a.m. for “The Detour Files” with the Susan Burke from Wheresight and Tiffani Amo from St Lawrence County Chamber.
