Mar 3, 2026

Lake George, NY — The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau (LGRCVB), the group-business marketing arm of Warren County and the Lake George Area, announced its 2025 year-end results, showcasing strong performance in sales, digital engagement, room nights, and overall economic impact. As the region’s primary resource for meetings, conventions, sports, and group travel, the LGRCVB continued to advance strategies that drive non-leisure visitation, expand shoulder-season demand, and strengthen collaboration with partners across Warren County.

Shoulder Season Growth Across Lodging

Data shared by Warren County Tourism show measurable year-over-year strengthening across both hotel and short-term rental markets in 2025—particularly outside peak summer months.

Hotel occupancy improved to approximately 54% in 2025, reflecting more consistent year-round demand. Short-term rental revenue increased over 8% year-over-year, with low-season STR (short-term rental) revenue rebounding close to 18% following a decline the previous year—clear evidence of expanding off-season visitation. STR bed tax collections also rose from $2.26 million in 2024 to $2.45 million in 2025.

Visitor spending trends further reinforce this shift. According to Visa Analytics, 45% of visitor spending in 2025 occurred during shoulder-season months—matching peak-season performance and signaling a more balanced annual tourism cycle.

These trends align directly with the LGRCVB’s mission to boost midweek and shoulder-season demand through meetings, sports tournaments, motorcoach travel, weddings, and other group bookings that help stabilize occupancy and support local businesses year-round.

“These results reflect the strategic, intentional work of our team to attract business that supports a year-round tourism economy,” said Gina Mintzer, Executive Director of the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau. “By focusing on meetings, sports, and group travel, we’re driving meaningful economic impact while supporting partners during shoulder seasons.”

Strengthening the Region Through Sales, Services, and Strategic Partnerships

Throughout 2025, the LGRCVB strengthened the Lake George Area’s visibility and competitive position through targeted sales outreach, participation in regional and national trade shows, and strategic placements in industry publications serving the meetings, sports, and group travel markets. At the same time, the convention services team delivered comprehensive planner support—including referrals, booking coordination, welcome materials, on-site assistance, and customized microsites—to enhance the event experience and encourage repeat business. Partner collaboration remained central to these efforts, with regional venues and service providers actively integrated into sales initiatives, trade show representation, and cooperative marketing programs.

Tyler Herrick, President of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, noted: “The CVB plays a vital role in bringing visitors to the Lake George Area when businesses need it most. Their focus on group travel and events directly supports our members and strengthens the local economy.”

Looking ahead, the LGRCVB remains committed to strategic growth, strong partner advocacy, and expanding year-round group visitation that delivers sustainable economic value for Warren County and its communities.
