Grant funding for EV Charging Stations for New York Municipalities

Jun 20, 2022

The NY State Office of Climate Change has just announced a new round of grant funding for the purchase and installation of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure. Up to $5,000,000 is available in this round to municipalities (counties, cities, towns, and villages of the State of New York) for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) or hydrogen fuel cell filling stations primarily for public use.

"It's a great opportunity for government/municipalities to install infrastructure with small out-of-pocket costs—but fast action is key to making sure they secure the grant!" Said Kate Kruk, Director of Community Engagement at Livingston Energy Group. "Applications will be accepted through 4:00 pm on September 30, 2022, or until funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first."
