ALBANY, N.Y. (May 13, 2026) - The Albany Convention Center Authority (ACCA) announced today that it is seeking proposals from qualified strategic marketing and communications firms to develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy. This initiative comes as the Authority embarks on a $55 million expansion to State Street, building on the success of the $78 million Albany Capital Center (ACC).
Since its inception, the ACC has generated hundreds of millions in economic impact and attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Capital Region. To maintain this momentum, the ACCA is looking for a partner to serve as an extension of its team, providing full-scale communications services tailored to the economic development and hospitality sectors.
Comprehensive Scope of Services
The selected firm will work directly with the ACCA team to execute a multi-faceted strategy, including:
- Public Relations & Affairs: Managing media relations, pitching regional and national outlets, and developing community engagement plans to strengthen the Authority’s public presence.
- National Marketing Campaign: Launching a major business event campaign targeting meetings, conventions, and sports exhibitions ahead of the expansion’s 2027 opening.
- Digital & Media Management: Developing data-driven media plans, executing media buys, and providing real-time campaign monitoring with a focus on high-level analytics and ROI.
- Strategic Growth: Conducting market research to identify industry trends and partnership opportunities that capture regional and national business.
- Fiscal Oversight: Developing and managing annual marketing budgets with transparent reporting on expenditures and campaign effectiveness.
