Overview

Join tourism industry leaders, leading policymakers, and accessibility advocates to discuss how to make a New York City for everybody.

Join leaders from tourism, hospitality, transportation, government, and the disability community to explore how we can make New York City a more accessible destination for everyone.

If New York wants to lead the world in tourism, it must lead the world in accessibility. How can we build an inclusive tourism industry that doesn’t just welcome 66 million visitors a year – but also the nearly 29% of adults that live with some type of disability?

Join industry leaders, accessibility experts, and stakeholders from across the city’s tourism industry to answer that question at the second annual New York Accessible Travel Conference, hosted by the Queens Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Accessible Travel NYC. The conference is free to attend, but invite-only.

Last year's conference included more than 140 public and private leaders from across the industry, and was hailed as an innovative program by Skift Meetings and other publications.

Once again this year, through keynotes, panels, discussion, and networking, we’ll explore how we can collaboratively make New York the most accessible destination in the world.

  • How accessibility drives business growth, innovation, and stronger visitor experiences
  • Advancing accessibility across transportation, hospitality, and the visitor journey
  • How inclusive communication shapes trust, belonging, and the visitor experience
  • Centering the voices and lived experiences of disabled professionals across the tourism industry
  • Building partnerships across industries to create a more accessible and inclusive travel ecosystem
