Please join us a we begin the 250th Commemoration anniversary year!

The Office of Cultural Education is excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual Winter New York State 250 Commemoration Summit, February 11, 2026 at the New York State Museum's Huxley Theater from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Join us for updates and presentations from a wide variety of state officials, cultural, history and tourism entities and executives.

This will be the first commemoration to be streamed live for those who cannot attend in person!

The registration form also includes a link to submit a podium proposal for those who wish to share a brief presentation on February 1.

Attending In-Person: You will receive a calendar invitation with a Google Map link, parking suggestions and room location.

Attending Virtually: You will receive a calendar invitation with a link to the live stream browser - please rsvp 'YES' to reserve the day and time on your calendar

DO YOU HAVE A 250th EVENT, PROMOTION OR COMMEMORATION INITIATIVE YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE?

USE THIS LINK to submit a PODIUM PROPOSAL. 

  • You must submit your proposal by January 9, 2026.
  • We will respond to your proposal by January 16, 2026.
  • You must be present at the NYS Museum to present your topic.
  • Your presentation / briefing should last no longer than 5 to 10 minutes in order to include as many presenters as possible.
  • Your visuals/slide deck must be submitted no later than January 30, 2026.
