- Emma Is Seeking Experiential Employment Opportunities for Summer 2026 -

Emma Huhtala is a student at University College London (UCL), a university in Central London ranked ninth in the world by QS World Rankings. UCL is known for its international community and its emphasis on inclusivity and academic research.

As an incoming final-year student at University College London currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Emma is seeking an opportunity within New York State’s tourism industry where she can apply her passion for storytelling, culture, and travel. She is eager to contribute her strong research, writing, and analytical skills in a tourism environment. Her academic studies have strengthened her communication abilities through coursework focused on poetry, prose, film, and cultural and historical analysis.

She is a writer and treasurer elect for UCL Pi Media, a journalism society operating at her university, which has allowed her to develop her editorial and research skills. She specializes in the Lifestyle & Culture section. She has written articles discussing Letterboxd, a film logging platform, and HBO's television series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

In her free time, Emma enjoys exploring London or travelling to different countries. She has visited eleven European countries so far and looks forward to visiting many more. Travel has strengthened her appreciation for culture, storytelling, history, and the ways tourism connects people and communities.

Emma would welcome the opportunity to contribute her creativity, communication skills, and global perspective to a tourism organization in New York State. She returns home to the Syracuse area in June and is available through Friday, September 11. Please contact Emma using the email address below with any internship or employment opportunities for summer of 2026. Emma would be pleased to connect and discuss how her background and interests could support your team.
