July 8 Grand Opening to Feature the Debut of the Hudson River Run
Riparius, NY — June 24, 2025 — Revolution Rail Co. (Rev Rail) will celebrate the grand opening of its newest New York location—Riparius Station—on Tuesday, July 8. Located at 460 Riverside Station Road, just 30 minutes north of Lake George, this new site marks the debut of the Hudson River Run, a guided rail biking tour along the scenic Hudson River.
The Hudson River Run is a family-friendly rail biking adventure along a historic railway paralleling the Hudson River. Riders enjoy a round-trip journey through lush forests, alongside sparkling waters, and past unique ecological features like the Ice Meadows. Each tour includes a midpoint stop with a brief talk on the region’s natural and cultural history, allowing guests to learn while they explore. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome, and the experience is designed to be low-impact and highly accessible.
Economic and Community Impact
Riparius Station is Rev Rail’s fourth Adirondack location, creating new opportunities for sustainable outdoor recreation while preserving local history. The company's mission is to transform underutilized rail corridors into vibrant, accessible outdoor attractions that connect people to nature, history, and each other.
Rev Rail’s expansion supports Warren County’s broader tourism economy. According to the company’s 2023 data for its North Creek location:
-
Over $1.6 million in direct visitor spending was generated
-
More than 60% of guests were first-time visitors
-
The operation supported over 25 local businesses
“We are proud to grow our roots in Warren County,” said Robert Harte, Founder and CEO of Revolution Rail Co. “The Hudson River Run expands access to one of the most beautiful natural corridors in the Northeast while supporting the small businesses and families that are the heart of this region.”
“Rev Rail’s continued investment in northern Warren County contributes meaningfully to the region’s economy and supports the sustainable use of our natural and historic assets,” said Jim Siplon, President and CEO of the Warren County Economic Development Corporation.
Gina Mintzer, Executive Director of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB, added: “Rev Rail exemplifies the kind of tourism partner that uplifts our region—not just by drawing visitors to our scenic landscapes, but by driving foot traffic to local businesses and strengthening our year-round economy.”
Conservation Partnership
The Hudson River Run was developed in coordination with The Nature Conservancy of New York, whose conservation work in the region focuses on protecting water quality and habitat along the Hudson.
A highlight of the tour is a guided stop where riders learn about the Ice Meadows—a rare and ecologically fragile habitat known for its unique seasonal ice formations and biodiversity. These educational elements underscore the importance of preserving sensitive natural environments.
