Nicole Mahoney is the CEO of Break the Ice Media, a strategic PR and Digital Marketing agency working exclusively in the travel, tourism & hospitality industry helping marketers create demand, inspire visitation, foster connections, drive conversions and strengthen ROI. She and her team do so by delivering powerful ideas, focused strategies and measurable tactics and plans.
To strengthen their marketing skills and stay current on hospitality and tourism marketing strategies and trends, the collective team invests over 450 staff hours a year attending educational events and conferences.

Nicole was recognized as 2019 Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Council of Rochester. She serves as a board member for the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA), as co-Chair of the NYSTIA DEAI committee and is a member of the Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor Finger Lakes Regional Council.
Outside of the office, Nicole loves spending time with her family (husband, four daughters and one son-in-law), traveling on family vacations, and playing cards with her long-time girlfriends. True to her home, she loves "living in wine country and drinking NY wine!"
Break the Ice Media belongs to Destinations International, US Travel, Travel PRSA, Travel Unity and the Travel Media Association of Canada. In addition, our company recently acquired Travel Alliance Partners (TAP), an innovative North American company that brings together tour operators, travel industry suppliers, preferred travel destinations, and travel buyers to collaborate on creating and promoting travel products.
