"Tourism is among the most resilient industries, subject to many factors out of its control and yet, historically, able to bounce back better than ever, poised for record growth. It is a tribute both to humanity's drive to make meaningful connections through travel and to the passion to serve that is ingrained in those who choose tourism as a career."
Mary's other professional affiliations include being a founding board member of International Spa Association and lifetime member of its Leaders Circle. Past founder/board member of New York Spa Alliance and Washington Spa Alliance. Member of Mayoral Crisis Communications Committee charged with reinvigorating New York City tourism post-9/11. Recipient of HSMAI Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Relations. Lifetime honorary member of International Association of Conference Centers. Member of Destinations International.
Mary loves her family, Pilates, all dogs (especially partial to Corgis), travel, staying connected to far-flung family members and friends via social media, reading (fiction, biographies, inspired living), entertaining, and girls' getaways.
"I'm excited about the future of tourism in general, and, in particular, that of New York State which offers everything anyone could want in a vacation or getaway."
