New Member Introduction: Hayley Coriaty at One World Observatory

Jul 15, 2022

Hayley Coriaty is a familiar face for NYSTIA Members. Hayley first joined the NYSTIA community as a teammate of LEGOLAND NY. She continued to be involved with her tourism colleagues when she joined Great Jones Distillery and now is beginning a new mission at One World Observatory as the Manager of Tourism & Trade Sales at the top of New York City's tallest Skyscraper. One World Observatory is managed by Legends as their leading attraction in the Global Attractions branch of the Legends portfolio.

“Here at One World Observatory, we consider ourselves to be a world-class experience and a beacon of New York City with the most breathtaking view. Whether this is your first time in Manhattan or you're a native of the island there is always something happening at the top of the world! From our education tours, one-of-a-kind views, and delicious dining experiences we have something for everyone. One World Observatory is excited to be a new member of NYSTIA and cannot wait to expand across new tourism relationships across New York State."

As the Manager of Tourism and Trade Sales for the business, she oversees FIT, concierge, tour, and travel groups as well as business relations for tourism and trends across the industry while keeping a world-class Guest experience. Hayley stays connected with all clients of the tour and travel business as well as the impactful groups such as NYSTIA, I LOVE NY, HSMAI, NYC & Co. “I have been lucky in my career to work alongside some of the best creative minds in the industry and learn new trends while pivoting your mentality to cater to vast cultures and business styles," said Hayley. “At One World Observatory and Legends, we see the importance of rebuilding, industry relationships, and benefiting the community in which we serve."

Hayley lives in Manhattan and loves exploring new dining experiences, museums, shows, attractions, and community organizations around the city. She has always had a passion for Hospitality & Tourism. She graduated from the State University of Plattsburgh with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management and a minor in Business and put herself through a Project Management course to further her education.

She started her journey in Tourism working in the hotel industry for a Marriott and Hilton property for over four years before being brought on as the first local employee hired by Merlin Entertainments to get LEGOLAND® New York Resort to fruition. She wore many hats at LEGOLAND New York during her five-year tenure, but her most notable achievements include building the Community Relations department, where she created and nurtured high-level relationships around New York State and related tourism platforms, and project managing different business implementations to launch LEGOLAND Vacation, Hotel development, Guest Experience & Communications, and relative business partnerships.

“Being in the Hospitality and Tourism industry gives you the itch to travel all around the world! With traveling and working in the industry you constantly see and hear things that you can bring back to the office and share with the business and your team to keep progressive and unique" she said. She loves spending time with her family who still resides in Orange County, NY where Hayley is originally from. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and is passionate about advocating for people with disabilities. She sits on the board for Beautiful People, Inc., a non-profit organization in Orange County, NY that provides adaptive sports and recreation activities for children and young adults with disabilities. She enjoys volunteering at local homeless shelters on Thanksgiving mornings and giving back to others wherever needed.

Hayley is proud to be part of the tourism community and hopes to continue to guide, mentor, and support businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry there is no better partner to do so with than NYSTIA!
