Grand Finale! Completing Our 2026 Travel Show Season at Quebec's Largest Travel Show

Nov 2, 2026

Montreal International Travel & Tourism Show Recap

Last weekend, we closed out the 2026 travel show season with Quebec's largest travel event, the 2026 Montreal International Travel & Tourism Show, held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal from October 30 through November 1st. We were joined at the booth by Glenn Pareira from the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, Kosta Tsimiklis from REACH GLOBAL, representing I LOVE NEW YORK, and Sylvie Nelson from SDN Innovation, providing translation services.

The three-day show was very busy, with attendees continuously stopping by the booth. We had a good variety of attendees: families, younger couples, and retirees and we heard "We miss New York State!" throughout the travel show. Many attendees are coming to New York State despite the political tensions, and we heard a lot of interest from attendees in outdoor activities, our museums, and exploring New York by train.

Our corner booth was well positioned across from the breakout session rooms. Other US destinations also flanked us.

The common theme I have seen throughout the year is that while there has been interest from Canadians to come to New York State, many are looking to plan a trip after the political tensions die down. No matter when they plan to come, our message has remained the same: we want to welcome Canadians when they are ready to come to New York State.
