Advance Tickets On Sale for Oktoberfest Charity Block Party

LAKE GEORGE, NY (September 15, 2023) — Adirondack Brewery announces the return of not just one, but two thrilling Oktoberfest celebrations this fall. These annual festivals take place against the backdrop of picturesque fall foliage reflecting on the clear water of Lake George. Building on the success of previous years, the brewery is geared up to deliver a double dose of authentic Bavarian revelry, complete with traditional music, hearty German cuisine, and, of course, a vast selection of meticulously crafted brews. Enjoy the tastes, sights and sounds of Oktoberfest in Europe without the hassle of flying! Both Oktoberfests are rain or shine as there are large tented areas.

12th Annual Lake George Village Oktoberfest
Date: October 6-8, 2023 (Columbus Day Weekend)
Time: Friday 5-10 PM | Saturday 12-10 PM | Sunday 12-5 PM
Location: Canada Street, Lake George
Ticket details: Free admission, Family Friendly!

Canada Street is blocked off in front of Shepard Park and transformed into a Bavarian-style street fair for three days as Lake George celebrates fall in the Adirondacks during this time when the foliage is often near or at peak. This family-friendly event offers fun for all ages including games, artisan vendors, rides, German and polka music, traditional dancers, crafts, stein hoisting, dancing chickens and more. Relax in the Adirondack Brewery Beer Garden and feast on traditional German fare including giant pretzels, wiener schnitzel, Bavarian sausage samplers, and more. The festivities begin with a kick-off Friday night when attendees are given their free Oktoberfest hat. Saturday there are 3 different bands and festivities all day. Sunday is the most traditional day, showcasing the culture and traditions of Germany with Bavarian bands and dancers from the Syracuse-Utica area. Festival goers can take traditional dance lessons.

“The Oktoberfests initiated by the Adirondack Pub & Brewery team have boosted the economic well-being of the region by attracting more overnight bookings and increasing visitor spending each year in October. Most notably, these events have acted as catalysts, fostering the growth and prosperity of other local gatherings while also contributing significantly to community charities through substantial fundraising efforts,” said Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB Executive Director Gina Mintzer.

“It’s not just about beer. We invite other breweries, wineries, distilleries and cideries. There are options for all. Tickets also include a traditional Oktoberfest dinner. We wanted the Oktoberfest Charity Block Party to have broad appeal,” said Adirondack Brewery Owner John Carr.

Vendor applications are currently being accepted. Breweries, wineries, distilleries and cideries are invited to email yum@adkbrewery.com for information about signing up.

“Our Oktoberfest is inspired by the traditions of Bavaria, but we really like to add a local emphasis to the event. This Oktoberfest benefits a non-profit every year that makes a difference in the lives of people in our community,” Carr said.

This year’s beneficiary is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks. In 2022, the Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest raised $10,148 for Lions Club Camp Abilities. Over the years this Oktoberfest has raised more than $125,000 for charities.
