2026 NYSTIA Tourism Champions Success: Mid-Year Review

Thank you to the 50+ destinations and organizations of the 2026 Tourism Champions community! We were able to pursue an increasingly robust travel show schedule and invest in booth improvements in the first half of 2026 due to your growing participation.

We also want to thank all the volunteers who have been in the booth so far this year and those who will be volunteering over the remainder of 2026. With a few shows on our 2026 schedule scheduled for the same weekend, volunteers were essential to maintaining our robust travel show schedule. 

Attendees at travel shows remain excited to explore all the destinations New York State has to offer, with a lot of discussion around driving or taking the train to New York and exploring the entire state. We look forward to promoting your destinations later this year at the New York State Fair and travel shows in New England, Ohio, New York, and Canada. 

This spring we were pleasantly surprised at the reception we received in Canadian markets. Canadians are excited to return to New York State, indicating that they plan to travel and remain interested in trips to New York State. We will return to Canada for the Association of Canadian Travel Agents Summits in Toronto and Montreal in September, and will return to Montreal in November for a major consumer show to end the year.

The continued support of the Tourism Champions community remains essential in enabling us to widen our reach in promoting New York State tourism. We hope you will consider joining our 2027 Tourism Champions community, enabling us to continue promoting New York State across the northeastern United States & Canada.

I need to budget and contract for 2027 NOW, so I'm asking for your 2027 registration asap. Invoicing will occur in January 2027 unless otherwise requested. If your budget doesn't allow for a January-to-January term, we can adjust your renewal date to better fit your budget cycle. See the registration form below.
