2025 Toronto Summit - Association of Canadian Travel Agents

While NYSTIA members were attending the New York State Tourism Excellence Awards and Summit in Lake George, your New York State Tourism Champions booth was at the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors' (ACTA) 2025 Eastern Canada Travel Industry Summit, held at the Congress Centre in Toronto, Canada, on Thursday, September 11th. 

We had a corner booth in the Brand USA pavilion and our booth was one of the most talked about at the Summit. Many travel agents and travel advisors come through the booth and most attendees wanted to take their photo using our photo Kiosk - picturing themselves experiencing New York State destinations. Attendees enjoyed the number of guides we had showcasing all the fantastic destinations in the state, discussing all the possible tours they could plan in New York State.

While we had significant traffic in the booth, travel advisors were saying it is hard to get travelers to book trips to the United States. Attending Canadian shows like this is critical to stay at the forefront of the minds of Canadian travel agents, advisors, and travelers. It helps to debunk myths about difficulties traveling to New York State and authentically say 'you're welcome in New York when you are ready.'

I am currently planning our 2026 Tourism Champions Program and need current and prospective Tourism Champions to sign up for the 2026 Tourism Champions Program so I can budget and plan accordingly.
