Chloe Pierce - Communications Associate

Chloe Pierce grew up and now lives just Northwest of New York's Capital Region. She earned her A.A.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2024 from SUNY Schenectady’s School of Hotel, Culinary Arts, and Tourism, where she developed a strong foundation in tourism development, event planning, and hospitality operations through both classroom and hands-on learning. During her time there, she interned with Levy Restaurants at Churchill Downs during the Kentucky Derby and with Christine A. Wheat Special Events Firm, Saratoga’s premier full-service event planning company. These experiences helped her build strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.

While attending SUNY Schenectady, Chloe received scholarships to attend NYSHTA’s Advocacy Day in 2023 and 2024, as well as the 2024 New York State Tourism Conference in Niagara Falls, where she first connected with NYSTIA.

Shortly after graduating, Chloe was selected as NYSTIA’s inaugural Roger Dow Intern. What began as a short-term opportunity evolved into an extended internship spanning fall 2024 through fall 2025, during which she also pursued studies in Graphic Design at SUNY Cobleskill.

In early 2026, Chloe joined NYSTIA as a Communications Associate. In this role, she supports member and partner onboarding and communications, contributes to website design and development, and helps manage the Tourism Champions microsite, Great Destinations of New York State. She also assists in planning and executing the Wednesday Webinar Series, the New York State Tourism Conference, and the Tourism Excellence Awards & Summit.

Chloe continues to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, with an expected graduation in May 2027. She is passionate about combining her interests in New York State tourism and visual design and looks forward to growing her career with NYSTIA.
