Since 1991, future generations of Lake Protectors have begun their journeys aboard the Lake George Association’s Floating Classroom. During this fun and fact-filled cruise, you'll measure water clarity, catch zooplankton, and investigate other water quality parameters — gaining hands-on insight into what it takes to keep Lake George clear and clean.

You'll also learn about the history of the Floating Classroom program, the importance of educating both residents and visitors about lake protection, and how this popular experience now reaches more than 2,000 participants each year.

1:15–2:00 p.m. – Nettle Meadow Farm & Artisan Cheese

Featuring behind-the-scenes tour and cheese tasting, a discussion of partnerships with EDC Warren County, NYS support, and facility expansion, highlighting how investments have helped scale production and build tourism interest

2:15–3:30 p.m. – Revolution Rail Co.

Experience a weather-permitting short railbike ride with an overview of business growth into four rail lines and discussion of public-private partnerships. Experience an example of county collaboration to transform idle infrastructure into a sustainable tourism asset.

3:45–4:30 p.m. – Adirondack Folk School

This guided tour of facilities includes the blacksmith shop with a live demonstration, insights into NYSCA grant support, curriculum expansion, and tourism programming, and an overview of the school’s impact on year-round visitation and artisan heritage promotion.

4:30 p.m. – Return to Fort William Henry
