Sep 14, 2022

Orange County Tourism is excited to introduce its two newest team members: Lisa Santiago and Rachel Carr.

Meet Lisa:

Lisa is Orange County Tourism and Film's new Tourism Assistant. Lisa is responsible for maintaining communication with key tourism partners and vendors, constituents, special interests, and arts & cultural groups in the tourism and film industries. She also helps maintain a database of business contacts, prepare public relations materials and news releases, and creates social media and marketing campaigns to promote tourism in Orange County. Lisa also assists in expanding the tourism industry in Orange County through continuous community networking and representation at trade shows and sales conferences.

Outside of the office, Lisa is a busy mom with three kids. She enjoys spending time with her family, going on cruises, and traveling. In Lisa's spare time, she manages a few local communities on Facebook and enjoys helping people in her neighborhood make memories with their families while saving money!

Meet Rachel:

Rachel Carr is Orange County Tourism and Film's new Tourism Coordinator. She is looking forward to attending the NYSTIA Annual Meeting in October and is currently learning about all the organization offers.

Rachel is a life-long Orange County resident actively involved in the community. In 2016, she graduated from Leadership Orange, a program designed to strengthen leadership skills and bring together diverse leaders to empower them to make a difference in their community. She dedicates much of her free time to being the Treasurer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Committee in the town of Wallkill, and as such, she stays informed of local government matters. Before her current role with Orange County Tourism & Film, Rachel was an invaluable asset at Chester Printing, her family-owned commercial printing business in Middletown, NY. pic.jpg Over the past ten years, she held several positions, including Customer Service Representative, Bookkeeper, Graphic Designer, Mail Service Technician, and ultimately became the Front Office Manager. During this time, she developed strong relationships within the community, learned hands-on social media and print media marketing concepts, and oversaw project completion.

Rachel loves the endorphins she gets from working out outside the office! You will find her slamming ropes at a HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) class. Rachel believes life is about balance; after a good workout, she likes to treat herself to her favorite meal - Sushi!
