REGISTER TODAY FOR TOURISM ACTION DAY: March 12, 2019!

Fellow NYSTIA members and tourism professionals: March 12, 2019 will be Tourism Action Day in Albany, NY. Your participation will be vital to communicating the importance of tourism to our elected representatives. As in previous years, NYSTIA is working with our partners at NYSH&TA and members of the Tourism Industry Coalition (TIC) to make this day a success.

NYSTIA members rally each year to meet with New York State's elected leadership to discuss the benefits derived in communities statewide from tourism, including economic growth, job creation, small business success, standard and quality of life and pride of place.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE

REGISTER BY FEBRUARY 20, 2019 and your legislative appointments can be facilitated by the Tourism Action Day committee and the NYSH&TA staff. However, you may register after February 20 and make your own appointments if that is your preference.

Tourism Action Day Details:

  • Breakfast Meeting: 8:30 AM to 10 AM
    • Renaissance Albany Hotel,The Shelf Room, 144 State St Albany, NY 12207
    • Discounted parking will be available at the hotel @ $7 per vehicle
  • Legislative Meetings: 10 AM to 2 PM
  • Registration is $35 and includes the cost of breakfast

For those members who are arriving on March 11, you are invited to join your colleagues on the evening of Monday, March 11 at the Albany Institute of History & Art:
 
Legislative Kick-Off Networking Reception:
  • Date: Monday, March 11, 2019
  • Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Location: Albany Institute Of History & Art, 2nd Floor Atrium, 125 Washington Ave, Albany, NY
  • What: Network with your colleagues, discuss tourism issues of importance and how you plan to discuss them with legislators. Tourism Industry Coalition (TIC) information and marketing materials will be distributed.
  • Registration is $50 and includes hors d'oeuvres along with complimentary beer, wine and soda

The museum will open at 4:00 PM for anyone who would like to take a tour before the reception.
