Thank you to the 130+ NYSTIA Members that joined us in beautiful Cayuga County for the 2019 Annual Meeting and Tourism Excellence Awards.
Early arrivals traveled to Cayuga County Winery Izzos White Barn Winery. for a beautiful afternoon of education and wine tasting. From Izzo's the group traveled to the historic Port Byron Old Erie Canal Heritage Park for a tour of the old lock that concluded with a draft in the original tavern, Erie House. Thank you NYS Canal Corporation for the tour.
Thursday's Annual Meeting and luncheon were followed by a new member to member 1:1 sessions and 10x10 presentations. We look forward to growing this new segment in 2020. It was another beautiful evening of dining and exploring at the Seward House Museum and NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center with an amazing locally sourced dinner presented by Springside Inn. The evening continued with sipping and strolling Auburn enjoying the NYS craft beverage scene with signature glasses provided by Corporate Communications - thank you Cayuga County Office of Tourism for a really fun evening.
The Tourism Excellence Awards brunch featuring an assortment of tasty local treats including New Hope Mills Pancakes awardees were honored with a signature award created by a local artisan Cindy Harris. Ross Levi, Executive Director & VP, NYS Division of Tourism / Empire State Development, gave a terrific presentation.
For those not ready to leave the beautiful Finger Lakes the conversations and networking conintued aboard Mid Lakes Navigation Skaneateles Lake - Thank you Sherpa Brown with New York's Best Experience for a lovely tour of the lake.
