Destination Strategy Panel
Melaine has filled many roles since joining the Dutchess Tourism team in 2011. In all of them, she has worked passionately to support and highlight the 1,000 tourism-related businesses and organizations in Dutchess County by aggressively marketing the county as a premiere vacation destination for the benefit of her community.
She was very involved in the organization's transition to an independent 501(c)6 non-profit, as well as the rigorous process to earn accreditation through Destinations International's Destination Marketing Accreditation Program. In addition to her current responsibilities as Dutchess Tourism's President & CEO, Melaine is a member of Destinations International's Advocacy Committee, the Dutchess County Economic Development Advisory Council's Marketing Committee, and as a board member for the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is committed to forming strong partnerships and has enjoyed participating in Arts Mid-Hudson's grant review process and being a member of the County's 100 Cups of Coffee Steering Committee (a transformative dialogue project designed to help improve community relations by providing spaces for people to come together to talk about the things that are of concern to them in their neighborhoods).
Melaine is a graduate of Syracuse University where she earned a dual degree in public relations and political science.
