We learned a great deal from the success of presenting our first major, multi-day virtual conference in 2020 and we're planning to build on that success and provide an even better program for our - Virtual, Versatile and Vibrant - Conference in 2021.
The details are still a work in progress - so be sure to check here often and watch for the NYSTIA newsletter for up to date information
NYSTIA experienced its second highest ever paid attendance for the November conference. Based on that track record of strong attendance and amazing sponsors we launched registrations at an unprecedented rate of $95 per attendee - over 35% lower than the November conference!
We are focusing on the future and providing the information and insights that will focus on how tourism businesses and destinations can thrive - not just survive in the months and years ahead.
One of our key takeaways from November is that a virtual conference doesn't need to conform to a live event schedule format.
Our members want to connect with each other, and we'll keep that aspect of our November event intact. We will be providing virtual socialization opportunities so our attendees can catch up with old friends... and make new ones!
Thank you to the 2021 New York State Tourism Conference committee members for their energy, enthusiasm and, perhaps most of all, their inspiration. It is unfortunate that the COVID environment has once again postponed our plans to gather in-person, but we are grateful that we have a team of individuals working to raise the bar once again and present an outstanding experience for our membership.
